Mimosa Festival

Every year, the residents of Mandelieu-la-Napoule on the French Riviera come together to celebrate their town’s symbol, the mimosa. The small yellow flower was introduced from Australia in the mid-19th century and blooms in January and February, marking the end of winter.The whole community gets involved in organising the ten-day festival, which began in 1931. The highlights include a beauty pageant and parade with floats decorated with freshly cut mimosa. Everyone does their bit to make sure that the Mimosa Festival is a wonderful occasion for everyone involved..
